Inland Revenue will be closed from 3pm Thursday 21st October 2021 to Thursday 28th October 2021.
Online services including myIR, phone lines and IRD offices will be closed over this time.
Returns can be filed before the closure on the 21st, or once IR services are available again from the 28th. An extension will be provided until 4th November to file and pay GST and provisional tax.

Employment returns for payday filing that are due over the closure can be filed early if you’re able, up to 3pm on Thursday 21st October, and resume from Thursday 28th October. The days during the IR closure will not count as working days for filing.
Please note that any draft returns and draft secure mail will be deleted during the IR closure period.
